Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland („Google“).
The integration is carried out via the WordPress plugin „[Site Kit by Google/Monsterinsights insert].“ This includes, for example, the number of visits to our online offering, the pages visited and the length of stay of visitors. Google Analytics uses cookies and other browser technologies to evaluate user behavior and to recognize users. This information is used, among other things, to compile reports on the activity of the website.
Google Analytics allows us to analyze and statistically evaluate the behavior of website visitors. Among other things, the following data is processed:
- pages viewed
- Length of stay
- clickpaths
- technical information about the terminal device used (e.g. browser, operating system, screen resolution)
- approximate location data (region/country)
- Referrer URL
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise users.
Legal basis
The processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG.
The consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future (e.g., via the consent tool used on this website).
IP anonymisation
In Google Analytics 4, IP anonymization is activated by default.
Your IP address is shortened within the European Union or the European Economic Area before being processed further.
Transfer of data to third countries
The transmission of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out.
Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Data transfers therefore take place on the basis of the European Commission adequacy decision pursuant to Article 45 GDPR.
In addition, standard contractual clauses were concluded with Google in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR.
Further information about data protection at Google can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Retention period
The data sent by us and linked to cookies will be deleted after 14 months automatically deleted (setting in our Google Analytics account).
Google Tag Manager
Nature and scope of processing
We use the Google Tag Manager of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager is used to manage website tags via an interface and allows us to control the precise integration of services on our website.
This allows us to flexibly integrate additional services to evaluate the user's access to our website.
Purpose and legal basis
The use of Google Tag Manager is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG.
We intend to transfer personal data to third countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular the USA. In cases where no adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (e.g. in the USA), we have agreed with the recipients of the data on other appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 44 ff. of the GDPR. These are – unless otherwise specified – standard contractual clauses of the European Commission pursuant to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914 of 4 June 2021. A copy of these standard contractual clauses can be found here. https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/DE/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32021D0914&from=DE. to see.
In addition, before such a transfer to a third country, we obtain your consent pursuant to Art. 49, Para. 1, Sentence 1, letter a of the GDPR, which you grant via the consent manager (or other forms, registrations, etc.). We point out that when transferring data to a third country, there may be unknown risks (e.g., the data processing by security authorities of the third country, the exact scope of which and the consequences thereof for you we do not know and over which we have no influence and of which you may not be aware).
Retention period
The exact storage period of the processed data cannot be influenced by us, but is determined by Google Ireland Limited. Further information can be found in the privacy policy for Google Tag Manager: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.

Provided you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, provided special categories of data are processed pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR if it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The relevant legal bases applicable in each individual case are informed about in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
As part of our business activities, we collaborate with various external organisations. In some cases, this requires the transfer of personal data to these external organisations. We only disclose personal data to external organisations where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. the transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data. When using data processors, we only disclose our customers’ personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw any consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ARTICLE 6(1)(E) OR F OF THE GDPR, YOU HAVE AT ANY TIME THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE EACH AND EVERY LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH A PROCESSING IS BASED, YOU WILL FIND IN THIS DATA PROTECTION NOTICE. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA, EXCEPT IF WE CAN PROVE OBJECTIONABLE REASONS FOR THE PROCESSING outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (OBJECTION BASED ON ARTICLE 21(1) OF THE GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE BEING PROCESSED TO CONDUCT DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING, IN WHICH CASE IT IS CONNECTED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. Right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint shall be without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place where it is technically feasible.
Access, rectification and erasure
You have the right at any time, in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions, to free-of-charge information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data.

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally require time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer require your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing exercise must be carried out between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests override the other, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
Where you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – with the exception of storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

5. Data collection on this website
Biscuits
Our websites use so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small data packages that do not cause any damage to your device. They are either temporarily stored on your device for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are deleted automatically after the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or an automatic deletion is performed by your web browser.
Cookies can be generated by us (first-party cookies) or by third parties (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third parties within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are necessary for the implementation of the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain functions that you wish to use (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web traffic) are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent has been requested for the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies, the processing will take place solely on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); the consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to be informed about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally, and to automatically delete the cookies when you close the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
If further cookies and services are used on this website, you can find out more about this in this privacy policy.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Server request time
- IP address
No merging of this data with other data sources will be carried out.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, server log files must be collected.
Contact form
If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively processing the requests submitted to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), provided that it has been requested; the consent is revocable at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been completed). Compulsory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Enquiry by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your request, including all personal data derived from it (name, request), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
The data you send to us via contact requests remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Compulsory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Other data is not collected or is collected only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not disclose it to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke the consent given to store the data, the email address, and to use it to send the newsletter at any time, for example via the „unsubscribe“ link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, or after the newsletter has been deleted for any other reason. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our discretion in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR as part of our legitimate interest.
Data that was stored with us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
After you are removed from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider, if necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and not combined with other data. This serves both your and our interests in complying with legal requirements regarding the sending of newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage provided your interests override our legitimate interest.

We have entered into an agreement with Brevo regarding the processing of orders (AVV).

The data collected during the analysis is sent to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
In this context, Google acts as a mere data processor in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR and will not use the data collected in this way for its own purposes. The use of the tool is based on a data processing agreement (DPA) with Google.
The storage and analysis of the data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated spying and spam. If appropriate consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. This analysis begins automatically as soon as a website visitor enters a website with hCaptcha enabled. To perform the analysis, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, length of time the website visitor spends on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to IMI. If hCaptcha is used in „invisible mode,“ the analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Use of an AI-powered chatbot
On our website, we use an AI-powered chatbot to automatically provide visitors with information about our hotel, our services and offerings, and to answer general inquiries.
The chatbot is operated exclusively on the server infrastructure of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, and integrated into our website via a code snippet. No personal data is transmitted to STRATO when the code snippet is loaded. There is no connection to external AI services such as OpenAI or comparable providers.
The chatbot relies on previously stored information and content from our website to answer inquiries.
When the chatbot is actively used, the entered messages are processed. If users provide personal data such as names, contact details, or other personal information in the process, this will be used solely to process the respective request.
Communication is provided in an internal dashboard that only authorized persons within the hotel and, if applicable, service providers authorized for technical support have access to. Chat content is not shared with external AI providers.
The chat logs are stored for a period of Saved for 30 days and then deleted, Unless statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons require a longer storage period.
The processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient and user-friendly communication), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that the communication serves the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the fulfillment of a contract.
A contract for the processing of orders has been concluded with STRATO GmbH in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR, which regulates the processing of personal data in a data protection-compliant manner as part of the hosting service.
We recommend that you do not enter sensitive personal data when using the chatbot.

Unless an employment relationship is established, your application documents will be deleted no later than six months after the completion of the application process, unless there are statutory retention obligations to the contrary or you have expressly consented to a longer storage period.
