The Hotel Hohenstaufen was built as early as 1905, not far from Koblenz main station. Its central location in the heart of Koblenz, the historic old town within walking distance and its personal service made the Hohenstaufen one of the most important hotels in Koblenz even back then.
Following the change of owner and managing director in 2012 and the subsequent refurbishment, the Hohenstaufen became a hotel that combines tradition and modernity.
With its 53 modern Rooms, two lifts, conference and event rooms, the 24-hour reception and room service, our Hotel Hohenstaufen invites you to stay for any occasion.

A later departure is possible by arrangement with reception and subject to room availability. The cost for a late check-out until 14:00 is €25.00, after which the full room rate will be charged.
AC adapters and charging cables for Apple and Android devices can be borrowed from reception for the duration of your stay for a refundable deposit of €20.00.
If a loud alarm sounds, we kindly ask you to leave the hotel immediately via the marked emergency exits. Please follow the instructions of our staff and the fire brigade. Fire extinguishers and fire alarms are located on every floor. They are marked on the evacuation plan in your room.
Should you suspect a fire in any part of the hotel building, please inform reception immediately by dialling the internal extension 91 or 0261 30140 from your mobile phone. For more detailed information, please refer to the „Instructions in the event of a hotel fire“ at the end of this guest information.
On the day of arrival, the rooms are ready for occupancy from 14:00. Earlier arrival is only possible upon request and subject to availability.

Please use the glass lift, not the staff lift. In an emergency, you are connected directly to the emergency control centre at the push of a button. Please remain calm. Assistance will be provided to you immediately. In the event of a fire, the lift must not be used; exclusively the stairs.
In our lobby, you will find a large selection of flyers and brochures about excursions and events on our information board.
We are happy to provide a travel cot, a changing mat and a kettle free of charge upon request.

Both banks can be reached in a 3-minute walk towards the old town.
All beds are fitted with breathable mite and moisture protection.
Upon request, we will change your bed linen daily. We charge €10.00 per person per day for this service. For longer stays, the bed linen is changed up to twice a week. If you would like to forego this for the sake of the environment, please inform reception.
You are welcome to borrow a Bible from us at reception.
The hotel has a central fire alarm system. Consequently, all areas of the hotel are equipped with fire detectors. Handling open flames, using candles in rooms and preparing hot food are prohibited throughout the hotel, as is dismantling smoke detectors.
If the fire brigade is called out through negligence, you will be charged for their deployment.
We are happy to provide you with an iron and ironing board free of charge upon request. Please ensure that the iron is switched off as soon as you leave the room.
Unfortunately, the network infrastructure here at the hotel does not allow for a Supercharger, but you can charge your electric car overnight in our courtyard at an 11kW charging station for €29.00 (the parking fee is also included in the price). If you search for "E-charging stations Koblenz" on the internet, all the charging stations will be displayed to you.
Löhrstraße with its pedestrian zone and numerous shops is ideal for shopping and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The city centre is home to the „Löhr-Center“ and the „Forum“. Both shopping malls offer very good shopping opportunities.
For our guests travelling by bicycle, we provide covered bicycle parking spaces and, upon request, a small repair kit. Please park your bicycles close together and lock them securely. The hotel accepts no liability for damage or theft. E-bike batteries can be charged free of charge with us. Please ask at reception for this. Charging them in the room is prohibited for fire safety reasons.
A bicycle repair shop called „Radsport Regenhardt“ is located at Markenbildchenweg 28, 56068 Koblenz (a 2-minute walk away).
Within walking distance of us are two bicycle rental shops, where you can hire city bikes, trekking bikes and mountain bikes, as well as e-bikes, children's bicycles, helmets, etc. If you need any assistance, please feel free to speak to our staff at reception.

You are liable for all damage and soiling caused by pets brought into the hotel. An additional cleaning fee will be charged for exceptional cleaning expenses, in particular for the soiling of beds, furniture or carpets. Furthermore, the hotel is entitled to charge the customer for any loss of revenue incurred because the room in question cannot be re-let as planned as a result of the soiling.

Public parking spaces are located directly at the hotel. These are chargeable from Monday to Saturday between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm (£6.00 per 4 hours – payment by debit card or via app is possible). Parking is free of charge on Sundays and public holidays.
An alternative is the underground car park at the central station (approx. 150 m walking distance). The daily rate there is €20.00. You can obtain a discounted parking ticket for the underground car park from us for the price of €15.00 per day. The allocation for this is limited, so we recommend reserving in advance.
For a longer stay, you can also purchase a weekly ticket for €60.00, the price of which is then staggered from the 2nd week onwards. Please feel free to speak to us for further information.
A postal shipping service is located at Löhrstraße 113 at Brammertz Computersysteme (a 3-minute walk towards the old town) and, in the opposite direction towards the station, at Bahnhofsplatz 9. A letterbox is located on the opposite side of the street. You can purchase stamps at reception.
Radio stations are stored on the television sets.
Smoking of nicotine and other substances is not permitted in any area of the hotel. In the event of non-compliance, we reserve the right to charge you a cleaning fee of up to €250.00.
In addition, the hotel is entitled to charge the customer for any loss of revenue resulting from the affected room not being able to be re-let as intended due to non-compliance with this regulation.

You are welcome to hand in your laundry to us for cleaning. You will find a laundry bag with the price list in your room's wardrobe. Please note that it may take 1 to 2 days for your laundry to be ready. Alternatively, you have the option to wash your laundry yourself at a laundromat at Bahnhofstraße 22. The walk there takes 2 minutes.

We don't have a spa ourselves, but you don't have to miss out on wellness and relaxation for that reason. The `Monte Mare´ in Andernach and the `Emser Therme´ in Bad Ems, situated right on the River Ems, invite you to do just that with their wonderful outdoor areas, quiet zones, sauna, massage and much more. Why not combine your visit to Andernach with a spectacular natural phenomenon and discover the geyser that shoots up into the air.

Our cleaning staff are in the building every day from 08:00 to 14:00. If you do not wish to be disturbed, please hang the sign on the outside of your door handle. Please note that cleaning is no longer possible after 14:00.
You are welcome to become part of our sustainability initiative by opting out of daily room cleaning. To do so, please inform us at reception or hang the sustainability sign from your room in a clearly visible place on the outside handle of your room door. In this way, you actively help to save water, energy and cleaning agents – thank you very much for taking responsibility together with us!
When you leave the hotel, you are welcome to leave your room key at reception. You can collect it again at any time, as our reception is manned 24 hours a day. When leaving the room, you do not need to lock the door not to lock it, but merely to pull it shut so that it is securely closed and cannot be opened without authorisation. In the event that you do lock the door with your room key, it will have to be reopened by us using a special emergency key.

Rules of conduct in the event of a hotel fire
- If you notice any signs of a fire or even the slightest suspicion of a fire hazard, report it immediately by telephone.
- Take your key with you before leaving the room. If you have your family with you, arrange a meeting point outside the hotel so that you know everyone is safe.
- Check if the door or the handle is warm. If so, do not open the door.
- Should this not be the case, crouch down and slowly open the door, ready to close it again at any moment if a cloud of smoke comes towards you. If the corridor is clear, proceed immediately to the emergency exit. Take your key with you and close the door behind you.
- Do not walk upright, but stooped, to avoid inhaling smoke and carbon monoxide.
- Walk along the same side of the corridor where your emergency exit is located. Count the doors to the exit.
- When you have reached the emergency exit, go quickly but carefully down the stairs and hold onto the handrail. If you notice smoke, do not try to run through it, but turn back and try to make your presence known from there.
- If you cannot leave your room, make every effort to make your presence known. If you cannot reach reception, call the fire brigade (dial 0 for an outside line and then 112) and state your location.
Make your presence known by hanging a bedsheet out of the window. - If there is smoke in the room, open the window. Do not smash the glass, as it is entirely possible that smoke may enter from outside after some time.
- Fill the bath / sink with cold water. Submerge towels and bedsheets in it. Stuff the wet cloths around the door and into every crack through which smoke could enter.
- If the door and walls are hot, pour water over them to keep them cool.
- A wet towel or a wet flannel held over the mouth and nose filters the smoke.
- If there is a fire outside the window, pull down the curtains and keep everything flammable away.
- Do not jump out of the window, as our rooms are situated too high up to risk a safe jump. A jump from this height can injure you dangerously. Try to continue protecting yourself from the fire and make your presence known at the window.
